Amazon Music rocks the streaming world?

Keith Parnell

Amazon Music VP Steve Boom announced recently on the Decoder podcast with Nilay Patel an upgrade from 2 million songs to 100 million (!) songs in their library. And better yet, the service continues to be free for Amazon Prime members, he said.

For reference, the Pandora library has 40 million songs and the Spotify library has 50 million songs.

That kind of announcement is what I call rocking the music streaming world!

Update: I tuned in to the Amazon Music service to check this out and it immediately prompted me to subscribe for $8.95 per month. 😕 Certainly the pitch was a not a ruse? 😠
