How’s your perspective?

Keith Parnell

As anyone knows that follows me on the socials, I’ve spent the last couple of weeks in France — a far cry cultural difference from our home in Norfolk (Virginia).

For starters, ‘yesterday‘ means two very different things between Americans and the French.

The President Nixon impeachment in 1973, the American Civil War in 1861, and the American Revolution in 1765 is yesterday to the United States.

The French Revolution in 1789, Joan of Arc in the 1400’s, and Rome conquering France in 200 BC is yesterday to France.

See what I mean? Perspective is different for everyone.

Understanding perspective going into a conversation or decision-making process can mean everything to producing a positive result.
