Do you care? I don’t.

I read a headline recently, “Highest-rated fine dining restaurants in Norfolk, according to Tripadvisor.”

One. We are in that audience of patrons that would frequent those restaurants.

Two. I’ve never relied on Tripadvisor to advise me on where to spend my money.

Three. Why would anyone go to Tripadvisor, Yelp, Facebook, and the like for any type of retail or restaurant rating knowing that most reviews are fake and/or mean-just-to-be-mean?

It seems odd that a trustworthy media outlet would fall into that honey trap. Or maybe they’re not trustworthy after all, and are just chasing clicks with headlines?
