King Family Vineyards is one of our favorite places to spend long weekends in Virginia – in the world, actually.

This trip was an early Spring venture when the plant-life and wild-life were beginning to show their beauty.

King Family Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery located in the gorgeous foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Crozet, just 15 minutes from Charlottesville.

This kiddie carousel, circa 1910, has been beautifully restored with 10 cast iron ponies, music, a hand crank, and an old bell. This very rare carousel was once pulled by horses through the streets to give children rides. Think precursor to the ice cream man!
