Help Determine the Best Way to Connect The Tide to the Naval Base

Hampton Roads Transit and the City of Norfolk have added two more public workshops on the Naval Station Norfolk Transit Extension Study. The workshops will be held on March 24 at Pretlow Library, 111 West Ocean View Avenue, at 6 pm; and on March 26, Norview Community Center, 6380 Sewell’s Point Road, at 6 pm.

The study hopes to identify potential transit corridors to link The Tide with Naval Station Norfolk.

The March workshops build upon earlier workshops held in June and September when participants helped the study team identify travel challenges between The Tide and the Navy base and then possible corridors that would connect the two.

This month’s workshops are designed to help identify the most reasonable and feasible alignments linking The Tide to the world’s largest Navy base. If you are not able to attend the workshops, participate in the online discussion.
