Chesapeake approves light rail study

Move over Virginia Beach. Chesapeake is turning out to be more of a big
brother than a step brother.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – City Council members voted unanimously Tuesday night to fund a light rail study in Chesapeake.

The resolution passed 9 to nothing. The decision is to support a transportation study that will look into whether a light rail line from Norfolk to Greenbrier is possible.
