A service agency's #1 priority is its customers. Doesn't matter the industry. If you're providing a service to a customer, failing to service them sufficiently and cordially will be disastrous for your organization.

In my mind right now are public transit agencies. Understanding your customer and marketing to their needs should be a priority for you, maybe even your #1 priority.

Don't be that guy. Don't think marketing to your customer is not important. They want to hear from you proactively and they want to hear how you're providing services for their needs.
