Babe Ruth. The name itself is baseball history.
But before he was the Sultan of Swat, before the towering home runs and the sold-out ballparks, he was just a Baltimore kid with a rough start and a gift for the game.
He didn’t follow the usual path to greatness. He was sent to St. Mary’s Industrial School, learned discipline, and – believe it or not – started out as a pitcher.
Then, he rewrote baseball entirely.
Think about the legends – Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron. All incredible.
But Babe Ruth? He changed the game forever.
