    Hope you’re seeing a doctor occasionally on this. That kind of rapid weight loss can be very stressful on the body. When I was first diagnosed with Type II diabetes and went on a serious weight loss regime, the doctor told me to slow down because at a point the loss would start to come from muscle tissue–rather than, say, belly or facial fat–and that would pose a serious threat to the heart (being that it’s all muscle). I had a friend years ago who lost a huge amount of weight, only to have a nearly fatal heart attack because of this. So be careful, friend.

    Please don’t think I’m trying to be prescriptive. I’m not trying to discourage weight loss. It’s just that I was completely surprised when I learned that losing too much weight too quickly could be a bad thing. Having just shed about forty pounds myself when I learned this, I was truly scared when I learned just how serious that could be.
