Waterside Marketplace first opened in June, 1983. It has been a critical part of the City’s revitalization. Over the years, like other marketplaces, Waterside has evolved through numerous business cycles. Waterside is in need of a major redesign and refocus. Your help is needed to shape this new direction by responding to this survey. We welcome your input.
Imagine that today you will be the only person changing Waterside’s use and look. From your personal perspective, please respond to the following questions.
If you assume that the building would stay intact, check all that you would suggest.
In your redesign, would you keep the structure or rebuild?
When you think of three destinations, The Waterside Marketplace, MacArthur Center Mall and Granby Street, what suggestions do you have to ensure they compliment each other?
Have you visited other places in other cities that you would suggest be a model for the redesign and/or reuse of the Waterside?
What priority should the City place on changing Waterside?
