Want to know what ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’ really means?

Romans 13:9-10

The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

  1. An important note I got from one of the studies of this passage was that if you don’t have a healthy love of self, you’re not going to love your neighbors (the world) in a healthy way.

First we must recognize and love ourselves the way God loves us. Be everything he’s created us to be. See ourselves as incredibly valuable and our neighbors equally so. Anything less is sin.

Have a loving relationship with your creator. Seek justice and mercy in all things. It will change your world.

  2. @Barb Spencer : You are absolutely correct, Barb. Inner peace is so important to our own outlook on life.
