Thank God for dead soldiers. What the heck?

“Thank God for dead soldiers.” That’s horrible! What sane person would utter those words and much less print it out with their bare hands on a sign and hold it up in front of the parents of this dead soldier at his funeral?

That’s what happened in March 2006 at the funeral of Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder. Who would do such a thing, you ask? A group of fundamentalist church members of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, KS.

You can read the article yourself on FoxNews.com here. I was totally disgusted. No matter how your religous beliefs, your personal beliefs, your political beliefs or your tolerance for morality guide you, you are a horrible, horrible person to think or say something like this.

Lance Cpl. Snyder was a real person. He was a real person with a family that watched these protestors and idiots cheer his death. I’m glad his family is suing this church. The only consolation to anyone offended by these actions is knowing they will be answering to God for their actions.
