Kudos to T-mobile

Somewhere during the evening of celebration last weekend for Nicole’s big promotion she lost the cover / sleeve to her BlackBerry Curve. We looked everywhere. Called friends. Nothing.

Wednesday evening we decided to go downtown (Norfolk) to grab sushi for dinner at Domo. After dinner we walked down to McArthur Mall to the T-mobile store to buy another leather cover for her Curve.

T-mobileWe looked around in the store for a minute or two until a customer service rep came over to tend to us. We explained to him what happened. He asked us to hang out for a second and scurried off to the back room.

A couple of minutes later he emerged with a new leather cover for her Curve, newly wrapped in plastic. He said, “Have a nice evening.”

We were floored. We’re not ones that ask for or expect free things in life. So this came as a shock. It came as a shock that retail stores today still care about their customers.

So here I am again touting T-mobile and its customer service. I’m telling you folks, if you’re in the market for a wireless carrier, go to T-mobile. Talk to a retail representative. Call one on the phone. You’ll understand what I’m talking about. Giving away a sleeve to a BlackBerry is not really a big deal. But continually over years providing many services like this is a big deal. A really big deal!

Plus, they always have the nice, shiny new models of BlackBerry smartphones! :)
