R-20 A Resolution affirming the site selection by the City Manager for a bus transfer facility
If approved, this agenda item is a resolution to affirm the site selection of the Downtown Plaza by the City Manager for a bus transfer facility that will be operated by Hampton Roads Transit (HRT). The site selection will allow for permanent relocation from the Cedar Grove lot which as acted as a temporary hub facility for bus routes since 2008. If approved, the City will commence with design and development of a bus transfer facility at the Downtown Plaza site. Approval is recommended.
R-21 A Resolution requesting Hampton Roads Transit to initiate studies to extend Light Rail Transit to Naval Station Norfolk and Virginia Beach
If approved, this agenda item is a resolution requesting that Hampton Roads Transit initiate studies of potential options for extending The Tide – Light Rail Transit to Naval Station Norfolk and to continue to advance current analysis of an extension into the City of Virginia Beach. Approval is recommended.
